A few of the ways the American Heart Association has enriched our community and made an impact on the health and wellbeing of LOCAL AREA FAMILIES are:School EngagementKids Heart Challenge is dedicated to boosting children’s physical and emotional well-being as well as heart and brain health. We engage students every year in our service-learning program to help kids with heart disease while also learning about the importance of avoiding vaping, moving more, eating a healthy diet, and learning Hands-Only CPR.
In the 22-23 school year,
9 schools completed the Kids Heart Challenge in Kitsap County.
Our National Heart Ambassador,
Sydney, is a stroke survivor in Silverdale who is joining us because she wants people to know how important it is to stay active and raise stroke awareness.
Clinical SupportWe work with Peninsula Community Health Services to provide patients education and resources to monitor their chronic conditions (such as blood pressure).

Get with the Guidelines for many years and has achieved
several awards. Get With The Guidelines is a proven in-hospital approach to improving patient outcomes across cardiovascular and stroke focus areas. Each Get With The Guidelines program promotes consistent adherence to the latest research-driven guidelines and measurement, while providing data and information to professionals for continual improvement in patient care.
