JOIN US IN SUPPORTING THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
Our third annual fundraising promotion runs February 1st through the 15th
LIFE IS WHY We are excited to announce our 3rd Annual American Heart Association Fundraiser!
We started with this campaign because of a loss to our Blue Heron Jewelry Family. In 2022, we lost Mike Clark, a valued team member. Mike passed away after a long struggle with lifelong heart health issues. Heart disease has also touched family members of the Blue Heron Team in addition to Mike, making this cause that much more dear to us.
Mike was a special person and lived his life with intention. Through his passion for jewelry, he made a deep impact on his friends, co-workers, and clients. He especially loved the reasons people chose jewelry to mark the special moments in their lives.
Mike's story is our "Life is Why" reason for supporting The American Heart Association. Through our fundraiser in Mike’s name, we have learned how many people are touched by heart disease in our community. It is our passion, our “Life is Why”, to ensure the people around us live long and healthy lives so we can celebrate together.
FUNDRAISING DETAILS Blue Heron Jewelry is a proud supporter of the American Heart Association’s “Life is Why” fundraising campaign and will have a special promotion in 2025. From February 1st to 15th, all sales of any in-stock red & pink gemstones or pearl jewelry items will generate a 20% donation of the sales price. Blue Heron Jewelry will match these donated funds thereby doubling the positive effect!

Donations help fund this incredible organization. A few of the ways the American Heart Association has enriched our community and made an impact on the health and wellbeing of LOCAL AREA FAMILIES are:
School Engagement Kids Heart Challenge is dedicated to boosting children’s physical and emotional well-being as well as heart and brain health. We engage students every year in our service-learning program to help kids with heart disease while also learning about the importance of avoiding vaping, moving more, eating a healthy diet, and learning Hands-Only CPR.
In the 22-23 school year, 9 schools completed the Kids Heart Challenge in Kitsap County. Our National Heart Ambassador, Sydney, is a stroke survivor in Silverdale who is joining us because she wants people to know how important it is to stay active and raise stroke awareness.
Clinical Support We work with Peninsula Community Health Services to provide patients education and resources to monitor their chronic conditions (such as blood pressure).
St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale has participated in Get with the Guidelines for many years and has achieved several awards. Get With The Guidelines is a proven in-hospital approach to improving patient outcomes across cardiovascular and stroke focus areas. Each Get With The Guidelines program promotes consistent adherence to the latest research-driven guidelines and measurement, while providing data and information to professionals for continual improvement in patient care.
